CrossBorder Pickups would like to remind our customers that it is their responsibility to keep track of how many packages they are receiving into Canada and to declare them accordingly. This can be done by keeping track of their items via tracking numbers or the total packages information. CrossBorder Pickups has no way of knowing how many packages are expected to arrive and are not responsible for separating the total value amongst several packages or associating the items to their respective invoice(s). It is the customer’s responsibility to allow for all their packages to arrive and declare them appropriately. It also the responsibility of the customer to notify CrossBorder Pickups of any changes needed before approving and creating the order to ship to Canada.
Should the order be approved and shipped over incorrectly, it is the customer’s responsibility to cover the duty and taxes on all packages and request a B3 form to apply for a reimbursement. There is a $10+tax charge for the B3 form which is to be paid immediately upon the request of the form.
By clarifying before you approve to have it shipped over, you can avoid such issues. Remember, by approving your package to be shipped over, you are accepting all the information such as the quantity, value, description, condition, and country of origin to be accurate and thereby agree to pay all duties and taxes for that specific package. Any duties and taxes paid once the package crosses the border into Canada, will not be reimbursed.
